How to do this: CARP with one INET with multiple IP, other ADSL with one IP
-
hello,
I've been looking aroung this forum for days now and I can't find setups like the setup we are making. We have 2 pfsense boxes with 7 private segments all using CARP with VIP's. Now we would like to hook this up to the internet and if possible… redundant. We have a 10mb fiber connection with 5 public's IP's which are all in use so I have to be possible to NAT them (we are running SMTP, HTTP, HTTPS, VPN on some of the ports of these IP's). We also have a ADSL connection with 1 public IP. Only thing we want to be redundant in is (1) getting mail out (2) getting mail in (MX record priority), (3) normal internet traffic.
How do we configure this?
problem is we can't use any of the 80.x.x.146/147/148/149 (our public IP range) als VIP's as we can't use them after that to NAT with?
thanx in advance,
Wil Beeren

Why? You can.
