Where is "Single Lan Single Wan" Wizard in pfSense 2 Traffic Shaper?
-
I'm just starting to look at the traffic shaper in pfSense 2. On the wizard page, I see the following wizards:
-
Single Lan multi Wan
-
Single Wan multi Lan
-
Multiple Lan/Wan
-
Dedicated Links
Perhaps I'm just stupid but where is the "Single Lan, Single Wan" wizard? ???
Also, what is "Dedicated Links" for?

Use singleLan/multiWan and just specify 1 WAN :)
Dedicated links is when you want to manage more than 1 link which gets routed to different lan in the same box. So a single box manages several 'virtual' links through it.

Thanks ermal, I'll try that.
Here's another (probably dumb) question for you ermal. In its current state, does the pfSense 2 traffic shaper work better than the pfSense 1.2.x traffic shaper?
-
It is way better than 1.2.x simple shaper.

Ermal, do you mean that dedicated links is for when you have multiple wan connections and multiple lan, but each wan only services one lan? I'm working on the 2.0 traffic shaping guide on the wiki and I just want to make sure I fully understand.

Ermal,
I found the answer from a post of yours in the bounty thread for the new shaper, so please ignore my question.8- If you have 3 different networks separated from each other and you want to combine to a single centralized management with pfSense and the new shaper, they can be handled/shaped separated or even provide failover for them. Kinda, basic support for different domains.
