      Hi Guys and Girls

      My anti-virus showed me the following message: " unassigned network detected - Realtek RTL 8102E Family PCI-E Fast
      Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.0)…"

      Can I block this or will it influence my computer's software ?

          this is a total guess but:

          are you a student? believe it or not if the answer is yes it makes all the difference and i may be able to help you.

          pfSense 2.0-RELEASE
          Intel Atom Motherboard D525MW + PCI Intel 10/100 NIC, 4GB RAM
          Packages: squid, snort

              Because at no point would pfSense display such a message… Aside from making it OT for this forum, knowing the context might just help people answer the question in a manner that's helpful to the OP (who appears to have posted and never come back).
