Using PFSense 1.2.2, and squid 2.6.21_10, dashboard is the only other installed package.  When we have the transparent proxy turned on we get significant slow down on webpage load times on computers that are in the Unrestricted IPs list.  We need to be able to restrict access for most computers on this network without this increased delay for computers that are supposed to be unrestricted.

    Thanks,
    Matt

We have followed the instructions in this post and seen no improvment in our speed with the Transparent Proxy enabled, any other suggestions?

Silly question, but did you reboot after making those changes?

Yes.  The syntax was a little unclear, the poster had three different examples each one syntactically a little different, and I'm not very familiar with that level of linux, so it is possible that there is a mistake in the suggested code that I failed to correct, but I followed the second suggestion and deleted the contents of the /boot/loader.conf and just pasted in the code that he had there, so if it's right then that's what we have now, with no change in behavior while the transparent proxy is on.

            Thanks,
            Matt
