Got 2 Alpha - Alpha running. Testing with a lan and two wans. If i set up gateway group with Wan 1 and Wan 2 as tier1 the first gateway in gateway group functions, no round robbin and if i take out the cable nothing happens. If i set up both wans as tier 1 i get redundancy but still no round robbin between Wans. Think i did every thing correct, just not sure about firewall rule. Al i did was use the default rule for lan and change the gateway to the gateway group. Any help would be appreciated.

          Hi,
I'm hoping you can help me with Multi wan loadbalancing.

I have two Cable Modem/DHCP WAN connections.  When they get their DHCP assignments, the assign my Interfaces on pFsense two IPs that are in the same subnet and have the same Gateway.  I have one LAN with about 10 devices on it.  I set up the Gateways, set a Gateway group with both wans in tier 1.  Set a LAN Firewall rule that the default gateway was my loadbalanced tier.  Ping'd, everything is OK.  Run continuous ping to yahoo.com.  Pull one ethernet loose from 1 WAN connection and everything is fine.  Plug back in and pull the other ethernet connect from the other wan and ping stops.

I just can't get it to use both gateways.  The only way to get it to switch is to go into Gateways and set one to default Gateway and it will switch.  I have edited names of everything to do with interfaces to get rid of anything except lower case letters.  I've read the sticky, just can't get it to work.

Any suggestions?  Your help is greatly appreciated!  I've read every thread here and can't figure out what I'm doing wrong?

          Les

Looks like Egate hasn't been here in a few months.  Can anybody else help me out?  The sticky is missing something for me?

i think its because everything sounds good, i got it working across 3 modems fine last night without any issues, maybe reinstall from scratch, update to latest svn and try again

                  Hi,
Quick question.  You can pull out and plugin any combination of modems while running a continuous ping and as long as one modem is plugeed in the ping continues?  Also switching from one modem to the other the ping continues?  That's what I was looking for.

                  Thanx!
                  Les
