Installation problem
-
I am sorry for a very stupid question.
I have searched the wiki aswell as looking though the forums for the better of 2 days, with no look.
Now to my problem.I have a IPCop running at home althou it can't handle alot of things i want to do, so I decided to move to pfSense.
I ran the CD both 1.2.2 and 1.2.3 and at the first menu there is no option to install to HDD, do I have to run it complete before I can install it to HDD and and that case do I have to have a diskett or USB drive to hold the settings before I can install it ???Thank you for all and any help I get.

Have the looked at the installation screenshots at http://forum.pfsense.org/index.php/topic,7356.0.html?
You can find links to quite a bit of documentation (including a link to the above screen shots) by following the documentation link from the pfSense home page: http://www.pfsense.org
My recollection (its quite a few months since I last did an installation) is that you boot from the live CD, configure, then select menu item 99 (Install to hard drive) then when done, remove CD and reboot and then, if the installation went well, you will be running off the hard drive. The CD is designed so that you can try pfSense running off the CD before writing anything to the hard drive.
