    Does snort's configuration replicate over to backup boxes

      If you configure snort will the settings goto a backup box and when you backup your settings manually is snort fully included. I am referring to all settings including exact rule setup.

        I don't believe any of the package settings are carried over, only certain specific base system settings:

        firewall rules, firewall schedules, aliases, NAT, IPsec, wol, static routes, load balancing, VIPs, traffic shaping, and DNS forwarder settings.

        Anything else must be replicated manually.

          If you go to Diagnostics: Backup/restore and select ALL. All your settings will be saved even your enable/disable rules.

            so i could backup all then goto the backup box and restore it using the first, then let it replicate from the primary node?

              Yes, you could use the saved config file on other pfsense systems.

              Carp any working yet.
