Managed File Transfer
-
Hey, I know a lot of admins visit this board so I thought I might this non-pfsense related question here.(although if pfsense were to get a module that could do mft that would be nice). I'm looking for an open source or affordable Managed File transfer system. Sorta like what the various download sites use (like yousendit, rapidshare, etc) I work for a banking and insurance firm which needs a secure way to send files from 10mb to 100mb to various sites while keeping some sort of record of each transfer.
We've tried ftp in the past but would like something more secure and more user friendly. Teaching 50 year old bankers on how to use a pc is hard enough…
Any ideas guys?

Albert,
Check out Group Logic's MassTransit at http://www.grouplogic.com. Depending on your actual file transfer workflow needs you probably can get into the Standard version at an inexpensive price and it will provide you all of the features of a yousendit, plus a lot more. -
If you are looking for an affordable solution…check out Scribbos.

Albert,
Take a look at Accellion's secure file transfer solution. Accellion allows you to send and receive files up to 20GB. We also have the security and tracking and reporting tools necessary to demonstrate compliance with HIPAA and Sarbanes-Oxley if that is important to you. For end users, our solution is as easy as attaching a file to an email and hitting send, so it's very user friendly.
Let me know if you have any questions or if you want to talk to someone here to help better understand your needs. We also have a free business user trial if you're interested: http://www.accellion.com/solutions/free-user-trial.html
