      I have a PICO PC with CF card with a live installation and its life cycle is about 8 months.
      How to change the installation from rw to ro so that my flash card live long.

          Well do an embedded install.
          The embedded install mounts the card RO.

            Can embedded install work on a PC with a VGA and keyboard. I tried to install but I could not connect to the com port. Perhaps the installation that has now built a web server.

              Yes the embedded works on all hardware on which a normal installation works.

              I dont know what you did wrong when you tried.
              Did you use a nullmodem cable?

                Yes I have tried null modem, but a shame that the VGA screen has no display when booting the system.
                Prepare an installation on another computer, setting his parameters, and switch it into production.
                Maybe the problem is the USB-COM adapter.
