I'm in the process of upgrading my m0n0wall firewalls to pfsense 1.2.3 nano and would like to be able to keep the same alias names I'm using now.  m0n0wall allows a dash character to be used in an alias name and pfsense does not.  I'm not a coder so I can't add this feature myself but would really like to see this feature added to pfsense.

You can not use the - in a alias name, replace with _

Well that's good to know.  I would like to be able to use both but it's good to know I can at least us an underscore.

BTW, can someone please add an underscore to the list of allowed characters.

Currently it list: "The name of the alias may only consist of the characters a-z, A-Z and 0-9"

          Thanks for the tip.
