Has anybody had any luck using pfSense with internal (PCI) DSL modems? If so, can you recommend a brand/model?

If not, what about external (Ethernet) DSL modems? (not routers)

I've also used the Zoom 5xxx modems and though the newer ones were better, they used to have some weird quirks like not coming set for the proper default VCI/VPI and you had to set them up manually.

We mainly use the external Westell 2100 modems, which could be found cheap in large quantities on eBay last I looked (which hasn't been recently)

The Westell 2200 routers are also cheap and when not programmed with a username/password, work like a modem.
