    i found this "Squid-prefetch" and i'd like to apply it to my current squid.

    is this possible?

    itd be very useful since i am on a vsat connection.

      That sounds kind of neat but I kind of doubt you would be able to get it working. I've tried to read up on it on google and I couldn't even find so much as to know what it is, let alone how to install it.

      But if you do find anything out, I'd be interested in hearing about it!

        the idea behind it is simple. it prefetches pages a user is on silently. so when someone goes to msn.com (i assume) it'll prefetch small amounts of data? i guess it has a config file.

        i found the debian files and the source may also be available. just needs to be compiled …
