I have a pfSense device that my company has been using as a Wireless Access Point. Recently, it stopped working and when I connected to the device via terminal I found the following message in a constant loop:

      PC engines ALIX.2 v0.98g
      640 KB base memory
      261120 KB extended memory

      01F0 master 848a KODAK ata_flash
      Phys c/h/s/ 984/16/32 log c/h/s 984/16/32

I was not the person that originally installed this device, but I thought that I would be able to flash the compact flash card and reconfigure the device however I cannot find an embedded installation image that matches the size of my 256 MB compact flash card.

I have tried following the embedded installation tutorial as well as the HOW TO: (http://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/HOWTO_Install_pfSense) for Windows using an old 128 MB installation image but, I am still failing.

I believe that my hardware is as follows:

      ALIX2c2
      256 MB Kodak Compact
      EnGenius EMP-8602 Plus-S Mini-PCI Wireless Card

If anyone has any ideas of how I could get this back up and running I would be very thankful.

You could try a old 1.2.2 image http://files.nl.pfsense.org/mirror/downloads/old/ or better yet buy a new card
