Hey guys, 1st i wanna say i searched all over, and tried everything to find any info on this, but found nuthin. so heres my ?.

i had been running 1.2.3 final. and  for kicks, wanted to try 2.0, so i did a upgrade via web GUI.  it updated fine, then rebooted
the system. after it finished i attempted to load my web GUI like normal, but now its asking for a user name/pass.

so i searched for what is the default name/pass, and found it to be,  admin/pfsense .
which i tried, many times, and it is not accepting it!  so what am i doing wrong?
I'm gunna hafta go back to 1.2.3, if i cant login to change settings.

    thanx for your time!

Try with https though it should use http on a upgrade iirc.

      edit
jump to conclusion to fast. as it prompt with pass :)
you can reset the password from console

Make sure that your installed version is Thu Feb  4 16:47:57 EST 2010 or later as an important  commit sorts out a show stopper bug present in the earlier 2 updates…..

ok, i'm trying again to upgrade with that newer build….

            EDIT :

ok with this newer build from feb 4.  it took the upgrade ok, and after it completed i went to web interface
and found the same problem of it not accepting the default username & pass. so i again went to the local
console and hit #3 to reset password.  and after that, this time, it did in fact reset, and i WAS able to
then login with the default name and pass. so its seems to be workin all good so far now...

            thanx for the help!

I found myself having to restore to factory defaults. For it to behave.

No issues while upgrading from 25 Feb build to the lastest one.

Yes, I never could get the v1.2.3 config.xml to parse properly and it needed a fresh setup before working.

Can you send your config.xml to me eri at pfsense.org to see what is going wrong?
