OpenNTPD not listening on Virtual IP address

    Hello,

    I tested OpenNTPD with IP Alias or CARP Virtual IP address and the daemon is only listening on the interface ip address (not the virtual one).

      Did someone encounter the same problem ? Should I fill a bug report ?

          That's by design of how it functions, always has worked that way, though not ideal.

            It seems that DHCPd works that way too.

              That's different, that's just how dhcpd works. It doesn't have a listening IP specified, it listens on all IPs on the interface and responds using the interface IP (and can't be changed, as far as I can tell). That doesn't cause any problems.
