Multiple WAN connection need Help..

Hi I want to upload a single video file through multiple WANS
to achieve greater speed..
is it possible to upload a single video file through different WANS
using PF SENSE..??please help me.
waiting for your reply..Regards

Yes, but if you want to upload it to a single destination then a bonded WAN, such as ML-PPP is your only option. If, however, you wish to upload a file to multiple destinations over multiple WANs, there are various ways to do that. What did you have in mind?

Well thanks for your reply..
I want to upload it on a single destination..
is it not possible..?? :'(another question is it seems that PF SENSE is sort of an OS
having its own environment so after installing PF SENSE will it be possible
to run winXP applications.. ??? -
I want to upload it on a single destination..
is it not possible..?? :'(That depends on how determined and resourceful you are. ML-PPP is still the simplest and cleanest option, but your ISP must support it, and most don't.
Failing that, you could set up 2 bittorrent clients on your LAN. Create a torrent for the file you want to share and upload that torrent to a tracker (or run your own tracker). The two torrent clients on your network should find each other and soon you'll have to copies of the file on your LAN, being shared by two instances of bittorrent.
Now, make sure these two instances of bittorrent are listening on your separate WANs; each must be reachable via a different outside IP address. Now send your torrent file to the intended recipient. The recipient will start his bittorrent client, which will connect to the tracker and eventually discover and connect to both of your bittorrent clients as peers via your 2 WANs. If the fates align and you accomplish all of the above, you will have met your stated goal.
another question is it seems that PF SENSE is sort of an OS
having its own environment so after installing PF SENSE will it be possible
to run winXP applications.. ???Not on top of pfsense. pfsense is an OS that is designed to be somewhat limited in what software it will run. This is a good thing.

for ML-PPP i will check my ISP..
but for the 2nd solution you give is 2 bit torrent clients
but the problem is i have a single PC and i want to upload the file from here
using two or more WANS
i don't think that i can run two bit torrent clients on a single PC, or can I..??? -
i don't think that i can run two bit torrent clients on a single PC, or can I..???
Sure. Simplest if you use 2 different clients, like utorrent and deluge, or transmission and vuze, because a single program will not want to be run in two different instances, but two different clients won't interfere with each other. When you start seeding the file from one client, then open the torrent file in the second client, the second client will ask you where to save the file. Point it to the existing file. It will take some time to verify the file, then if the file passes the hash check the second client will begin seeding the file also.
Now, to get the dual-WAN action happening here you have to tell the bittorrent programs to report their IP address differently. Some BT programs allow you to manually set your reported IP address and some do not. Setting up your outbound NAT and firewall rules properly should ensure that the clients route through different WANs anyway. Then you need to create a couple inbound NAT rules and corresponding firewall rules to ensure that the listening port for client 1 is accessible through WAN1, and the listening port for BT 2 is accessible via WAN2.
But it's late here and I'm going to retire from this thread for today before I inadvertently give you any (more?) misinformation.

ok fine
can you please give me your email
so we can chat and disscuss this topic later….!!!and once again thanks for your support...

I have reply notification turned on, so rest assured I will follow up with this thread. I have no problem assisting if I can, but I prefer to do it in the public forum so others can benefit from or assist in any work we do.

Hi
I have downloaded two torrent clients
Bit torrent
uTorrentcan you please tell me how to configure both the clients to use different WANS…
what settings should i do in my router..? -
It's explained in this document.
http://69.64.6.24/index.php/Multi-WAN_Version_1.2.x
You can ignore the parts about load-balancing.
Then create one Port Forward rule (with automatic firewall rule) for each torrent choosing alternate WANs as the incoming interface
WAN TCP/UDP 43000 hostIP 43000
WAN2 TCP/UDP 53000 hostIP 53000
In the bittorrent programs, essentially you just need to designate a different listening port for each client (i.e., 43000 in Bit torrent and 53000 in utorrent) and a different copy of the file (i.e., c:\users\hussain\file.txt and c:\users\hussain\Documents\file.txt). I'm not familiar with either of these, but some torrent programs allow you to specify the public IP address that the program reports to the tracker. So in Bit torrent you manually specify WAN as your IP address, and in utorrent you specify WAN2 as your IP address. If these programs don't support manually setting the reported IP address then find another torrent program that does. There are many to choose from.

can you name a some torrent clients which allow you to manually enter WAN ip..??
because there are too many available and i have ti try each one indiviually..
