Hi, is there any package available to PFSense that will allow me to use zdump/zic?, our country changed DST rules for this year and the one included with PFSense is no longer valid…. Or better, PFSense patch? :D

      Regards,

Just copy /etc/localtime off another FreeBSD box which has updated timezone info. You'll probably have to reboot after doing that though.

If you have a FreeBSD box, or a Virtual Machine with FreeBSD, I wrote about how to manually update the TZ info a few years back when the US changes its DST dates:

The PFSense box is my only FreeBSD machine in fact… Would it be too difficult to install zdump and zic?, I just don't know which package provides them...

You'd have to copy them off a FreeBSD machine (or ISO, perhaps) that uses the same FreeBSD version that your version of pfSense has.

I don't think there is a binary package for them anywhere, as they are part of the FreeBSD base system.
