      Situation:

      internet
                            |
                            |
Speedtouch ADSL modem in bridged mode (ip 77.169.x.x)
                            |
                            |
Alix board with pfSense (nanobsd 4GB) (lan ip 192.168.1.1, wan ip 77.169.x.x)
                            |
                            |
                  pc (DHCP, 192.168.1.244)

Both the pc and the pfSense box cannot access internet.
I have firewall rules set to allow, for wan and lan.
Tried to ping www.google.nl from pc, nothing.
The pfSense box cannot access www.pfsense.com (for installing packages).
I have 2 DNS servers configured in the general page.

      any suggestions ?

If your modem is really in bridge mode, it would not have an IP address.

You might want to talk to your ISP and find out how the modem and WAN should really be configured (Static IP, DHCP, PPPoE, etc) for a router such as this.

I think you have a point there, concerning the bridged mode.
          thanks for the tip !
I will configure it in default mode, so it wil function as a modem/router. Then connect the Alix box and then see what it does  ;)

              Hello

my English is not good, helped me a translator, well, let's see you.

tested Bone default your modem to bridge mode, which utilis ip range your modem in normal mode. for example mine is 192.168.1.x/24. now, have tried without DHCP, bone that is static, just in case try it on static, the pfSense do not assign an address, now you have pinged your modem router, for example to get my modem router is 192.168.1.1 and from the pfSense console will do ping -c 100 192.168.1.1, if the modem router responds, it means that your connection is fine, and now if that does not go to the pc is because something is wrong and in the configuration IP on the LAN. Good luck I hope your observation.
