      is this a error ?  pfSense-2.0-BETA1-20100607-0359.iso.gz

      pfSense-2.0-BETA1-20100604-1649.iso.gz is ok

        Did you do the quick install or what?

        It's just saying the size of that partition is too small. Are you installing to hdd? cf? what?

          yes, i use the quick install ,install in vmware .

          i change hd "/" size to 500M , is ok .

            I have not seen this quick install, but I reckon it makes a thin provision disk in Vmware, which will expand as needed.

            Best practice would be to create a fixed size disk, especially on a disk that might expand a lot because of logs.

            Running pfSense on :
            DL380G4 with ESX Vsphere and DL360G4p bare metal

              The quick install has nothing to do with VMware. It's an option for full installs as well. It simply finds the first available disk, and uses the whole disk to install.

              The logs on pfSense do not grow. They are a circular log file format which stays a constant size. Some packages might have logs which grow, however.

              The provisioning of the disk is up to the user when they create the VM.
