When upgrading nanobsd from console/URL I get an error, "Upgrade failed due to the upgrade image being larger than the partition that is configured on disk. Halting. Size on disk: 929 < Size of new image: 1908". My running version is 2.0-BETA2
built on Thu Jun 10 11:44:01 EDT 2010 FreeBSD 8.1-PRERELEASE nanobsd (2g), and the URL of the attempted upgrade is http://snapshots.pfsense.org/FreeBSD_RELENG_8_1/i386/pfSense_HEAD/nanobsd/pfSense-2.0-BETA3-2g-20100619-0051-nanobsd.img.gz

I'm definitely trying to update a 2G image with a nominal 2G image, but the error indicates the new image is roughly double the size. Any idea what's going on? What is the remedy?

update: Never mind. I'm an idiot. I was using a full image instead of the update image. Serves me right for getting up early on a Saturday. Leaving this here for any poor soul making the same mistake in the future.

      Thanks.

Don't feel too bad, that's a fairly common mistake. :)

I'm working on getting the auto-update system working on NanoBSD, hopefully it will be working later today, which should improve the situation for many.
