Hi, I was wondering if the following is possible…

I understand this setup is not recommended however I only want use the NAS on the host machine to stream media files, use pfsense to load balance, QoS etc, the 2 wan connections and to be able to share the internet connection with "NIC 3" (wireless adapter)…
With load balancing, would pfsense give me a total connection speed of "WAN 1" + "WAN 2" (i.e "WAN 1" = 10mb, "WAN 2" = 10mb, therefore give me a connection of 20mb?) and can I share this connection over "NIC 3" as shown in the diagram?
I am not sure if I require a network bridge or an access point if I want to share the internet connection from "NIC 3" to the computer and xbox 360...
Would I require any more hardware/software for the above set up and is the above setup possible or, is what I am proposing a bit far fetched?

Since windows XP and windows7 does not have any virtualization software by default (the XPmode of W7 ultimate isn't really any help here) I'm quite curious of how and what virtualization you will use.
As for doing this with any other host (Vmware ESX \ ESXi \ Xen \ Hyper-V) I see no problem with the configuration as long as you have supported hardware.

I understand I wont be able to run pfsense with virtualization in windows so I intend to VMWare as this seems to be a quite common approach…
Is there a list of compatible cards somewhere and am I looking for compatibility with pfsesnse or with Vmware or both? I have a couple of realtek NICs and a belkin wireless adapter (cant remember model No of the top of my head).

If you are running vmware servers (on top of windows) I guess the supported hardware would be what's supported by windows, since there is a hardware abstraction layer between the windows host and the VMs.
If you are gonna run ESXi you will have to check the compatiblity list for the release you intend to run.
However tunneling a wirelesscard through the hypervisor to the VM I have never tried and I actually would never do either.
