Sorry if this answered else where but the new wireless feature they allow pfsense to act as a wireless router correct?
If so what cards are supported?
Thanks,

That's always been possible. For supported hardware on 1.2.3, check the FreeBSD 7.2 hardware compatibility list, for 2.0, FreeBSD 8.1. Atheros cards generally the most used.

but can the wireless work like a access point as well as be used to connect to other password protected access point for load balancing?

I had exactly that setup and working, but it seems the VAP can be flaky in such a scenario. It didn't break until I got a couple APs plus a couple wireless WANs connecting to other APs all going at the same time on the same card. A less obscure setup may just work. It was fine with two APs and one wireless WAN. I didn't use it a whole lot, it was just experimentation, though it worked fine for a few days.

can u provide some info on how to go about it setting it up, current my wireless is set ina ccess point mode and bridged to my LAN so wireless clients can connect to it, now i want to just also use the wireless to conenct to other wireless routers for multi wan functionality.

The first thing to do is to make a new interface on the wireless tab under Interfaces: Assign and then assign it.
Both your access point and the network you connect to may need to be on the same channel for it to work, but I'm not 100% sure.

after doing that, what next, meaning now how do i do a site survey find the remote access point and connect to it using its password?
