A while back I paid someone at rent-a-coder to update pfflowd so that it supported NetFlow v9 and properly indexed the interfaces with their corresponding SNMP index. The interface indexing allows pfflowd to work with picky NetFlow collectors (like the NTA module for SolarWinds Orion).

Here is a link to the result: http://hotfile.com/dl/58313562/d96f040/pfflowd8.zip.html http://www.megaupload.com/?d=GFYQPIG3 (hotfile apparently thought it was pirated software, lol)

It would be nice if someone could get the installable pfflowd package for pfSense updated to this this version of pfflowd.

Thanks, I opened a ticket so it doesn't get forgotten. http://redmine.pfsense.org/issues/767

Though we do need your written confirmation that you're the owner of this modified code and release it under the BSD license.

          HypeTelecon,
Thanks for this contribution to pfSense. I was looking for other apps such as nProbe because pfflowd only used v5 packets. So glad to have found this posting.

I have no idea why hotfile deleted the link to the pfflowd v0.8…it's open source software, lol. I have re-uploaded it to mega upload:

If someone knows how to get in touch with the author of the original pfflowd project and email him the updated source, that would be great.

I know how to compile this on a linux box, but being that pfsense i guess it doesn't include the options to make and configure, how do I go about compiling this and then replacing my current "package" version installed on my firewall?

              Thanks!
