i use two of them in the same machine. it runs flawlessly.

one suggestion though. Get a compatible motherboard and use the onboard nic for WAN. no point wasting a gig nic for a wan connection. Use the rest for lan

How do I know if the motherboard is compatible? Is there a list of known motherboards?

They'll both work just fine. As a rule of thumb, I always disable [in BIOS] anything that I don't use [COM/LPT/FDC/whatever else I can find], just so there are as few things that can cause any conceivable issue.
