      Have no fear my friends!

I present to you the ultimate file manager!

      • You can see system files.

      • You can download files

      • You can edit files

      • You can manipulate data

      • You can upload files

      • You can overwrite files

      • It will even brush your teeth

Version 1.0 released. Version 1.1 current.

Known bugs: browsing /etc may present some errors for the first time
Go button doesn't work in some directories, push [ENTER] instead
Also after deleting a directory you may get a blank page

This is now showing in the Packages list.

I have installed and seems to work great.

          Many thanks TommyBoy!

Very cool.  I was thinking that FreeNAS had a nifty feature that pfSense didn't…until now.  FreeNAS uses http://quixplorer.sourceforge.net/  Any advantages/disadvantages of this new package versus QuiXplorer?

I like QuiXplorer, its not a bad product but there are some disadvantages.

You cannot change directories without clicking your way through it.
You cannot open a browser by clicking on a webpage in your www root
QuiXplorer has remained on Beta 2.4 for the longest time, I think its been 2 years now.
There is also a remote exploit for Beta 2.4 that can allow a hacker remote access to your entire box.

I am sure there some cons over the package but I think this was the best choice to go with over other projects out there.

EDIT: You also cannot rename directories and files.

You have always been able to browse the FS from Diagnostics > Edit File, and upload/download from Diagnostics > Command (though the upload only goes to /tmp), but this does look nice.

                  Version 1.1 released.

Behind the scenes change. Nothing that affects the package functionality.

I just started my PFSense box and it's awesome.. I was curious about this package, but when i try to install it it just redirects me back to the package page.. then i noticed this package was built for PFS 1.2.2 and i have 1.2.3 installed .. hmm.. i cant wait to see this package updated :)

you should look at my sig line, I am running 1.2.3 and it is working, therefore no update is needed.

Do you get any error messages?
