Putting 1.2.3 on firebox with HDD

I've got an X1000 and I slapped a laptop IDE in it. I went through stage one of the install on another PC and am at the reboot point. I used the embedded kernel and am assuming the second stage installer will find all the hardware correctly?" ANy pointers on this one? Next is to get the LCD to work once I get the codebase installed.

Sounds like you are on the right track. I've never used a firebox but I've done the same thing on a Symantec 5420 which is in another thread on here and the wiki. Steps are likely similar. Everything should be detected and you'll see output on the serial console.
