Hi there, i have a openvox ipc100 with 2gb Memory and a 1.6GHz Atom CPU

I have installed many pfsense before also on alix mainboard, no problem.
but with the openvox i see no screen after the bios POST messages.
i have installed pfsense 2.0b4 on the cf-card, anything ok on a alixboard or on a
watchguard firebox. i am connected via serial cable, the settings are ok because
i see the Bios messages and also i can jump in to the bios to made changes.

but after a few secondas during a normal boot, i see only a black screen and
i am not able to made the settings for the lan wan… on the console.

can some one may be help me?

      Greetings GaXy

What do your LEDs on the board look like? Per the manual, they all 3 should light on power up, one should turn off when POST starts, and two should turn off after POST completes, leaving only one lit. All 3 are solid on with mine and they never turn off. Nothing on the serial console, nor with the VGA header attached. Wondering if I have a DOA board, contacting OpenVox to find out more.

Nevermind that last post, that was just a huge instance of user error.  :o  I got the board from them (as a contribution to the project) without RAM and didn't realize it. :D I'm used to boards like that having it onboard so the empty slot didn't stick out to me until I talked to someone at OpenVox, at which point I realized the stupid mistake.

I have some RAM on the way then I bet it'll work a whole lot better!

For embedded, it requires a work around that some Intel chipsets need. Info detailed here:
                              http://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/Installation_on_OpenVox_IPC100

The full installs work fine out of the box as normal where the jumpers are set appropriately for the type of drive being used.
