Package install

I have noticed a problem already put into the redmine library (http://redmine.pfsense.org/issues/875), but I was wondering when this problem was going to be addressed. Whenever I do an update and it "re-syncs packages", the firewall will not boot. I have serial access to the device (soekris net5501-70 w/ hd), but no web access. I can't access anything in the council menu because all it keeps giving me is /libexec/ld-elf.so.1: Shared object "libxml2.so.5" not found, required by "php". I can't access the web via any client using the firewall. In fact, to type this up I am using my mobile access point.

It's not something that will be an easy fix in this case, but if you want to know, just keep following the ticket.

Is the problem only on NON-2.0 packages? or is it happening on the revised packages too?

It's a problem with packages in general.
IIRC, It wasn't as much of a problem on 1.2.3 since the OS packages were a bit older so the ones installed by the newer packages didn't conflict since they were different versions of the underlying libraries.
There has been some discussion about how best to fix it, but nothing done yet.
