      Hi Everyone,

      I'm  coming across a very strange issue.

      I have 2 pfsense boxes. Box A is running 2.0 BETA3, and Box B is running 1.2.3 RELEASE.

      When I reboot Box A (Whether via shell or web GUI), Box B reboot as well!!

      They are connected to each other via IPSEC, however that is their only connection

      Reading around Google, it seems as if Box B may have kernel panicked, however I'm not sure how I can verify this?

      Box A is running on a Xen box, but Box B is a physical box. This only seems to happen if I tell pfsense to reboot via the shell or Web GUI. If I simply tell Xen to shutdown the VM, Box B seems fine

      Has anybody experienced this before?

      Thanks

          @danswartz:

          Can you please explain what you mean by console?

          When I leave the shell (option 8) running on an ssh terminal, when the system reboots, no information is displayed.

          By the way, this is starting to happen even when the ipsec VPN is being used. So this is definitely an issue between BETA3 and 1.2.3 ipsec.

            Unless this is a serial port setup, hook up a monitor and see what you see when it reboots.

              you could also backup your config and reinstall, but choose the developer's kernel. That way it won't automatically reboot on a panic, it will wait at a debugger prompt and you can get a picture of what it shows (and type "bt" at the prompt for more info, too)
