I am trying to set up pfsense with a optimum online static IP.

By the interface, I set "static" after typing in the ip address what number should I have after the "/".

      Thanks

That's up to your ISP. They should have given you the subnet mask when giving you the IP address.

If you have a dotted quad style subnet mask (e.g. 255.255.255.0) you just need to pick the CIDR equivalent in the GUI (e.g. /24)
