      I got the the lcd working and downloaded the correct version of files for back light support and key support.  What folders do they need to be in.  The LCD is displaying the correct version but it's hard to see.

          Just tried it, and it restarted.  I think the backlight is out buttons seem to work though.  If I add a USB card and a usb light to illuminate the lcd word that work.

            Hmm, it seems a bit complicated but it might work. Try a small torch first.
            There is usually a reflector of some sort behind the light source to make the screen as bright as possible. You will probably have to remove that first. By the time you've taken it apart to do that you might be able to replace whatever has failed.

              I pull the cover off the firewall tomorrow and see if I see anything loose or burnt looking.
