        Yes, I've the same problem with snort gui interface and latest snapshots. I'm able to navigate in snort/snort_alers.php, and others, but not in the main page. Hope that the issue will be fixed soon.

                    I still have a broken gui for snort.  Does anyone else still have a problem with snort?

                      +1

                      Without the GUI, a fresh install doesn't download any rules (I usually click on updates and download them) and, thus, cannot start.

                          If you still want to use 2.0 Beta4 use snapshot version 2.0-BETA4 (i386)
                          built on Tue Nov 9 02:38:50 EST 2010
                          FreeBSD 8.1-RELEASE-p1

                          I have this running just fine with Snort, Squid and Squidguard.

                          Just dont update it for now

                            @simby:

                            back to 1.2.3?

                            I installed version 1.2.3 and snort but snorts config is broken.

                            I fixed all path errors but then compress_depth and a lot of other errors came up so i gave up.

                              It looks likeit might be the Snort install that's broken.
