Just wait for the next new snap. There was a bad commit (of mine :-) that slipped in.

No problem.  I was just trying to give everyone a heads up so they would skip that build.

        Thanks, Roy…

The offending snapshots have been removed for a couple hours now. Should be replaced with good ones in a while. It's building the resized nano images now.

By "a while" I mean a few hours. Be patient, they'll upload when they're done.

I was only trying to point out the broken update was still available.

No, it's not. The date file is there but the actual update has been removed. Can't download a file that has been rm'd from the server.

                      That's good to know.

                      Thanks!

Killed my Alix nano - could a kind soul help me figure out how to boot from the other slice or how to remount rw and fix the problem? I can't figure out what to do other than to once again take my box apart and reimage the firmware which will take me an hour or two.

                        Thanks!

Hook up a serial cable. At boot you get a menu:

                          1. pfSense
                          2. pfSense
                          Default: 1

The default will be 1 or 2. To boot the alternate slice, just press the number that is not the default. (So if default is 1, press 2)

BTW, the serial cable needs to be a null modem/crossover cable.

Hour or two? I downloaded the bad snapshot and rebuilt and was up and running in about 20 minutes max. I just reinstalled the image and restored my config that I ALWAYS have backed up. No biggie.

it seems like it takes an hour just to image a 2G CF.  ;D

I'm back up using my serial cable to boot into option "2" (slice 2), thanks for the help!  ;D

Yes, re-imaging the CF card would have taken quite a while… (I use the 4G image)

                                  Cheers,

you might want to use "Diagnostics: NanoBSD" to copy your good boot slice over your bad one.

                                      That snap killed my systems.
I reinstalled a old one and still need to reconfigure everything…
