Using 2.0 on an ex-Watchguard Firebox x700 (1.2 ghz celeron, 512 mb ram, 6x 100 mbit RE nics), uplink buffering is 100ms.

Are you guys both using 2.0? Also is it maxing your dl during the test?

            I was using 1.2.3release embedded in a re-purposed firebox x6000.

I just ran the test again, this time through two pfsense boxes (double nat). The extra box is running 2.0B4. I got 229ms.

I have a 20Mb ADSL connection and I live only a few hundred meters from the exchange so the modem usually syncs at 19Mb or higher. The test shows 5.3Mb/s so no I'm not maxing the connection!  >:(

@jigglywiggly, yes, this is using 2.0.
And no, it 'only' reaches something like 7 megabytes down and 1 megabyte up during my test.
That probably is enough bandwidth to perform a good test.

It maxes my upload for sure, so it's uploading all your guys's upload during the test? (it doesn't max my DL either, I misspoke and meant upload not download).

                And tried 2.0 beta 4, same problem ; /

                  Ah well..running the test again.
870Kb/1Mb which is pretty much maxed out. 220ms buffer.

My upload is 10 mbit/s, which is saturated when performing the test.
My download, which is 120 mbit/s, is not saturated.

Anyone have an idea why my uplink buffering is so high? I have switched the nic cards from the onboard to 2xintel pci nics, and tried pfsense 2.0 x64. Same issue, 13200/2200 config from modem…

What makes you think this is a pfsense problem?
Are you running the test from the same box?

Yeah I ran it on an Ubuntu box next to me same thing, I'm on Windows 7  x64 on my evga 780i.
                          I'll go check that link.

EDIT: Just turned traffic shaper on pfsense, got a whopping 61ms of uplink buffering, of course I effectively killed Comcast's speedburst, before I got 4.7 mbp/s on upload, now I got 2.0 mbp/s. Not that it really matters because my config is 13200/2200
