Unable to check for updates

Hello
My pfsense 2beta 4

Show me the message "Unable to check for updates"
But i can do the manual update.

And it's very slow in navigation on menus of webGUI

i've tried to use the stable version 1.2.3, but i think that it isnt compatible with my hardware, because i configure the WAN n LAN's hardware n IPs butr i cant acess on the http://x.x.x.x or https://x.x.x.x

If there is one with the same problem post a reply.
