Multiple VLANs using a Mikrotik routerboard

Hello,
I have a pfsense (version 1.2.3) server PC mainly for loadbalancing purposes because of internet-pricing issues. Runs without problems. However i've run out of pci ports on the pfsense pc, but need more WANs. I assume utilizing vlans is the next step. For this i've acquired a mikrotik routerboard RB750.
The process of creating vlans in pfsense looks pretty straighforward, but I've been trying all sorts of configs and reading hundreds of forums, and for the life of me, i cannot get it to work. Most people that use vlans this have done so with a netgear smart switch (port-trunking), but i'm almost sure that the routerboard (5 ethernet ports) should be sufficient.
Has anyone ever set this up with a mikrotik RB? ideas?

to me it seems as if the rb750 has an integrated switch which is not VLAN capable.
You simply need a VLAN capable switch. -

You simply need a VLAN capable switch.That's the thing. You CAN generate VLAN ports and attach them to actual ethernet ports in the routerboard.
ps: I found out that trunking is named "bonding" in mikrotik. I suspect i'll need that as well

You simply need a VLAN capable switch.The default configuration is one wan port, and four ports configured as a switch. RB750G can be reconfigured to have five independent LAN ports. In the following manual pages, you can see that the switch chip in RB750G supports VLAN.

Additional VLAN features can be configured in MikroTik RouterOS, for example VLAN trunking (feature called service-tag in RouterOS).

RB750G is a very feature rich and powerfull router/switch.
If you only need a VLAN aware switch, take a look at RB250GS.
