    Hi All,

I am extending my network into wifi captive portal styley.

I would like to have several access points that use PF sense for captive portal and radius with access to the network resources limited via PF FV.

So the access points connect to pfsence rather than allow direct network access.

Can someone recommend good wifi access point hardware to achieve this. Or what technologies should I be looking for when choosing wifi access points.

    Thanks you.

Personally I have good experience with the Procurve WL420 when I still worked with Windows domains and Radius authentication, they are probably quite cheap used aswell.

I currently run one on my pfsense network too, but no radius-integration.

      Running pfSense on :
DL380G4 with ESX Vsphere and DL360G4p bare metal

The Cisco 1231 can be found used on ebay for fairly cheap as well.  If you have any support contracts with Cisco, you'll be able to update to the latest firmware.  They've been around a long time and don't support 802.11n or standard 802.3af (POE), but are the most reliable access points I have ever worked with.  In the US, the model number to search for is AIR-AP1231G-A-K9.  You can usually find quantity auctions on ebay if you need more than one unit.
