MY HDD unable to install

Hi everyone
I'm new in pfsense. could you please help me to install. I tried to install but my HDD doesn't show same drive In

It show ad4 when i try to change a HDD some time change to ad6 How i can set my PC see HDD same other person….

I'm new in Linux also ... please guide me step by step

First off, as has been said many times before, pfSense is based on FreeBSD, not Linux.

What version of pfSense are you trying to install? What hardware are you installing onto? Is the only problem that your drive isn't ad0? If not exactly what is the problem?

I'm sorry for miss understood Cry Havok.
I tried to install pfSense-1.2.3-RELEASE-LiveCD-Installer.iso.gz. I'm burn This program by Cd burnxp and install to my pc HDD IDE 80 G and 160G SATA tried both. and set Master slave already. when tried to install pfsense during the Boot in CD and check every H/W in PC the command show my HDD ad4 or ad6 no ad0 and pfsense had error to found the ad0 sometime not found 4-5 time before the program past to check another part and goto install.

By the way ptt. Itried to click download yr file but doesn't work. (error for download). if you not mind pls upload for me or u have any advise plesase send it for me.

Other than it not showing as ad0 (which is simply cosmetic) is there any problem? A picture of any error message may help.
