      Jim,

Now that the snapshot server is up, i'm getting this error on the dashboard page:

Warning: curl_exec(): Could not call the CURLOPT_WRITEFUNCTION in /etc/inc/pfsense-utils.inc on line 1470

      Unable to check for updates.

Yeah that'll be fixed on the next new snap. (Or if you gitsync again)

The snaps are building now, when they're done and uploaded it should be all good again.

I just gitsync and the error went away. Thank you again!! I noticed something on the rcs.pfsense.org site and my dashboard…. :-) still need a new build since upnp is shot, but then my box will be official....

          Good luck tomorrow and congrats!!

Actaully one more gitsync will have the real fix. I found a bug in my earlier fix. :-)

First off, I'm pretty sure I'm not retarded but you never can tell. I went looking at the snapshot server and the most recent full update is dated Feb 10th. The most recent nano versions are Feb 11th.

The bad snap (labeled RC1 but still had issues) was removed. A new snap is building now.

Thats true - anyhow I just updated to: 2.0-RC1 (i386)
built on Mon Feb 14 03:24:30 EST 2011

                    From where? http://snapshots.pfsense.org/FreeBSD_RELENG_8_1/i386/pfSense_HEAD/.updaters/

There you can find true lates versions! This must have something to do with RC release?

RC1 isn't happening yet. Yes, auto update will claim it's RC1, but that is really just a snap that still has some other issues.

When RC1 really arrives, it will be announced. Until you see an official announcement, there is no RC1, just snapshots that may be labeled a certain way. :-)

Ahh, funny how much difference a missing period can make as I was looking at:
                        http://snapshots.pfsense.org/FreeBSD_RELENG_8_1/i386/pfSense_HEAD/updates/

Thanks for the tips guys :)

Now we've got musical pfSense betas instead of an RC1-beta: "2.0-BEAT5 (i386)"

                              The pfSense Band: BEAT5!

                              :-)

Perhaps if we beat it up 5 times as hard, and it doesn't break, it'll be RC1 :-)

Working on it :-) Another NetGate deploy tomorrow, just assembled it tonight with the Feb 15th snapshot. It may still be beta5 or beat5, but I'm still putting it into production for contract customers where we have a lot of control and ease of access should anything go wrong :-)
