SOLVED After update: stuck on "package reinstall"
-
I had the Feb28th RC1, and just an hour ago did the update to the latest snapshot. It has been just stuck at the package reinstallation bit for about an hour. A little history.. yesterday I went through and un-installed a few packages (light-squid, squid, bandwidthd). When I look at a log I found now, it seems it's trying to delete lightsquid? Supposedly this should've been done yesterday when I chose to uninstall it.
It's never taken this long before. I do have SSH/Webportal access, however the box is remote so I do not have console/serial access at this time. Please let me know if there is more information needed.

Just thought I'd update… It's been 5 hours, and it's still going :-(
Update: Read through quite a few previous posts, found where Jimp posted the command "clear_subsystem_dirty('packagelock');"
Ran this, and now going into the package installer, I see lightsquid is back. I am unable to remove lightsquid, so with that in mind I suppose I will re-post in the packages forum.

Word to the wise, with a series of squid packages, uninstall the main squid package last…... After running the PHP command per Jimp, I was able to access the package installer. Since lightsquid and squidguard were both still listed, I tried to uninstall them and they would stall during the uninstall. So I could not uninstall these packages. Figuring they rely on squid, they probably rely on squid to properly uninstall, so I installed squid. After this, I repaired the squidguard and repair lightsquid, after-which I could uninstall everything just fine (squid being the last thing to uninstall).
