How to fix portforward for the router behind it?
-
Hello folks!
Posted a Swedish one and also this english one, so I'll hope its ok? :D
Have setup loadbalancing at home with the pfSense router using, 10.0.01 and give out 10.0.0.10-20/8.
My router that sits behind pfSense is getting 10.0.0.20 and will be handing out 192.168.0.1/24 to all connected devices.
Now to my question, how do I fix portforwarding to my router so that my server that is connected to my router can handle out and is connecteble(?)Cheers

Why create a double NAT ? :-)
Just disable the DHCP on the "router" (I'm guessing this is a commercial home router with WLAN ?) and plug the connection from the pfsense side to one of the LAN-ports instead of the WAN port.
Hella lot easier.

Forward the required port(s) from pfSense to the router's IP (10.0.0.20) and then from the router to the device on the 192.168.0.1/24 network.

Or even the lazy mans method..
Put the router 10.0.0.20 in a DMZ.

Yeah, it's a Netgear WNR3500L… But I need the Wi-Fi for my 360, 2 laptops and my 2 Nokia N900 8)
Will try this out this weekend, will come back with the results after the weekend.Cheers

Kirilleirikz's advice is exactly how I have my WiFi setup. Netgear router with DHCP disabled. Manually set an IP on the LAN side so I can access it, and connect LAN to LAN.
