PPTP through pfsense with active pptp-server
-
Hello!
Just wonder if the problem with PPTP connections and active PPTP at pfsense is solved with pfsense 2.0.
The problem is, that pfsense can only track one PPTP-connection from intranet to one external PPTP server. And if the PPTP server is activated at pfsense and you do not have a second public ip address for your WAN, it is not possible to start a PPTP session from intranet to any external PPTP server.
This is a show stopper to me - that is why I still use IPCop at our "headquarter" and all clients get a pfsense. Because I have to connect via PPTP to the pfsense routers at my customers site.

I think this is was fixed a while back. however, I think you can still only have one outgoing PPTP connection per external IP but I'm not positive about that.

Hello!
So I can have one PPTP connections from ONE internal cleint to an external PPTP server AND have the PPTP server running at the pfsense with only one WAN ip address?
Well that would be really great - than I can use pfsense
Can someone confirm the above?

I believe ermal is the guy who coded the PPTP Proxy that addressed the PPTP limitation. Hopefully he will confirm exactly what works and what doesn't.

Haven't tested it in the latest builds. But, I've had success with 2.0 BETA/RC connecting multiple machines from inside to the same PPTP endpoint on the outside.
