      Line: VDSL-25 T-Home entertain
      pfSense: 2.0-BETA4 (i386) built on Wed Sep 1 13:58:51 EDT 2010 FreeBSD 8.1-RELEASE.

Internet access works fine, completely without any VLAN tagging (Vlan tag 7 seems not to be necessary any more, at least for plain internet). IPTV does not work yet.

IPTV does not work: T-Home media receiver 300 gets an IP and can access internet in its subnet. I can see menu entries, EGP, listen to internet radio and can watch "TV-Archiv" recordings but live stream of IPTV does not work, not even for the first 10 seconds.

I tried IGMP proxy, made sure that IGMP service is active. I configured a lot of routings rules manually and made sure that special options on firewall rules are set and no bogon networks are blocked. IGM proxy has a lot of networks set (193.158.35.0/24, 239.35.0.0/16, 193.158.137.14/32, 193.158.34.0/23, 194.25.134.197/32, 217.6.164.40/31, 217.6.164.42/32, 217.6.164.45/32, 217.6.164.46/31, 217.6.164.48/29) as found in an article here (http://forum.pfsense.org/index.php/topic,16943.45.html) in the forum.
I tried various VLAN tag options (7,8 to WAN and MEDIA), no really knowing the right setup tho.

I see some IGMP messages at System logs page, like:

      Sep 2 10:13:07 igmpproxy: Note: RECV V2 member report from 10.20.0.200 to 239.35.129.11 (ip_hl 24, data 8)

Sep 2 10:13:07 igmpproxy: Note: The IGMP message was from myself. Ignoring.
      Sep 2 10:13:11 dhclient: FAIL
      Sep 2 10:13:15 igmpproxy: Note: RECV Membership query from 10.20.0.1 to 239.35.129.11 (ip_hl 24, data 8)

Sep 2 10:13:23 igmpproxy: Warn: unknown Mode in V3 report (673189920)
      and:
Sep 2 10:31:19 igmpproxy: Note: Route is not active. No kernel updates done.

I feel like i am quite close to success, but need some new ideas now. For example

      • what is the T-Home gateway for routing and how might i find out from the logs (239.35.129.11 is not a steady log entry..)?
      • is it really necessary to have all these manual routings?
      • IMHO igmpproxy should not ignore so much..

I am ready to set it up all new from scratch, if just someone could tell me how?!

      Thanks in advance

      .olaf klein.

Follow this guide maybe it helps. Beaware that igmproxy isalready in pfSense and is a patched version for working better.
