Latest amd64 snapshot: have to resave the default route after reboot…
-
This is now after a regular reboot (upgraded the RAM from 2GB to 4GB), and again the system couldn't see the internet. Again I did what I did last time: hit the edit button for the default route, save (without making any actual changes), and then apply changes. Then things start working again.
Maybe it has something to do with an error message I discovered on the console:
Warning: invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /etc/inc/utility.inc on line 629
Needless to say I don't dare opening up that file in vi, because whenever I touch anything with vi, I end up screwing it up.
I wish we had something like pico or nano installed (full emacs install is a bit over the top for this…)Ronald

If your vi skills are somewhat lacking try ee which is available on the standard build but you really should keep trying with vi as it's the only editor you are guaranteed to have access to on a *Nix system.

vi is easy once you tried it.
Esc ( Escape Key) give you command line to save or quit and stuff
i = insert text (edit)
/blabla = find all "blabla" in text.
Esc : q! = quit (exit)
Esc : w! = write (save)
Esc : wq! = write and quit (save and exit)I developed a library system in bash/perl once only using vi :)

post anything routing-related in the system log

@cmb:
post anything routing-related in the system log
If the same thing happens after the next upgrade, I'll check. Anything specific I should be grep-ing for?

"route" should suffice
