I can not in any way force to work pppoe server. I create the server, users, I create a rule in a firewall, resolving all on a tab "pppoe server". The user will normally become authorized, connection is established, receives ip address, that which I have specified at the user in options pppoe servers, the gateway address, all is excellent. But the Internet the user doesn't see. I create a similar rule on Lan - all perfectly works.
Version 1.2 with similar options and 2.0 beta from August, 2010 works perfectly. Tried even options to throw from the working version - all doesn't work also. From zero installation too tried. In system broad gulls the firewall at all doesn't see any inquiry from the interface pppoe. With Lan client address pinging. And from the client the address of a gateway isn't present.

        I'm experiencing the same thing.
Tried all sorts of rules, but the POES## keep blocked by the firewall.

        PFsense 2.0RC1

I saw this should be solved with this update/patch; http://redmine.pfsense.org/issues/1243

Any ideas when this will be i a new build?

Developers likely think that the error is corrected
I am updated every day, but the error exists

We know it's not corrected, the ticket is still open and the notes clearly indicate it still needs work. It's just a known issue.

The patch in the ticket has helped some people but it is not a correct patch for all cases, so the code still needs to be fixed properly.

I have patched filter.inc and all began to work. If I update pfsense it is necessary patch again?

Yes, you'll have to re-patch after each update until a proper fix is committed.

                      I tried to patch using patch -p1 -C -d / < pppoe.patch
reply was "can't seem to find a patch in there"

                      Am i doing something wrong?

Perhaps you didn't save the file in the right format? It worked when I downloaded it by hitting the "Download" link here: http://redmine.pfsense.org/attachments/261/pppoe.patch

Though only the filter.inc bits actually apply here.

I have version 2.0 RC3 (built on Sun Sep 11 21:36:53 EDT 2011), but it is also not working. The patch does not work either. Patches manually.
Is it possible in a short time to wait for a bug fix?
