Win7/WinXP native ipsec client, does it work with pfsense ipsec vpn?

Hello,

I have used ShrewSoft as a vpn client in the past,however  I saw that Win7/WinXP support connecting to VPNs natively using L2TP/IPSEC (through the networking control panel). Does anybody use this for remote access clients connecting to pfsense? What has been the experience?
