so it said it was complete. internet is still working but when i go to my https address i get this.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '&', expecting T_VARIABLE or '$' in /etc/inc/interfaces.inc on line 1023

      know why?

But when I plug a monitor into my pfsense box it still says pfsense is updating. So I guess I will give it till tomorrow to finish and I will get back to you. Does anyone know how long it should take to do this?

I download the snapshot builds to my netbook, check the md5sum and if its correct, upload the snapshot build to my pfSense. I would say the upload and install generally takes well under 15 minutes though it does seem to vary depending on what packages need to be updated.

I've been caught a couple of times by changing to a different browser tab and missing the box that says the build is unsigned and asks do I want to proceed.

My system has a 1GHz VIA CPU and a slow and small solid state disk.

Do you have a console screen connected to it?  Sounds like the install is getting hung up somewhere…

I rebooted the system and i was able to get back into the webgui it says it's on 2.0 rc1 my wan looks correct and my LAN is correct but I don't have Internet access on any computers. And none of my services are running do I need to reinstall my packages?

Also if I reboot the system I have to ssh into it and redraft the webgui or it wont work.

On my shop connection which is dsl I ended up initiating the "setup wizard" found under "system" to get things going but that was several months ago…

I was having problems getting the box to connect to my provider at the time...

What does your interfaces box on your dashboard report?  You may have to add it by clicking the + box just above system information on that page...

My interfaces are fine wan has the right ip and LAN has the right ip once i started dhcp server pcs got there ip but still no web

i ran though the setup… didnt change anything and automatically my web showed back up.  thanks for the idea and the help.

90% of my services wont start so im thinking its something wrong with the configuration between 1.2.3 and 2.0. correct?

I just tried doing an upgrade from 1.2.3 -> 2.0 RC1. I'm running it in a VM and it's had the CPUs pegged for over 30 min. It doesn't seem normal. I did the upgrade process via SSH and it's just showing the "…...". I did a config back up before I did the back up. If I do a clean install of 2.0 can I just reload my config settings ?

                        Thanks,
                        Raul

You should probably start a new topic. since this topic has been dead for a while now.

I do not know the answer to your question, but i would think it would work. since upgrading is the same thing. Just remember that some packages that worked on 1.2.3 do not work on 2.0.
