Is it possible to limit the use of the Internet using the MAC of a PC.

Hi, I found this software quite interesting and I had a question.
I want to set up a WLAN in a library and wondered if you can limit the time of use of the Internet (say 1 hour a day), for each PC in the library, by using the MAC of each PC as an ID to put the limit on (if you get the idea). I herd you could do this using the Captive Portal by putting the limit on the users, don’t know if that is correct, but I prefer not using users. So just wanted to know if this was possible.
Thank you.

I depends how you have the PCs setup, how locked down they are.
You can assign a fixed dhcp lease for each pc based on MAC so that they each always get the same IP address and then create access rules based on IP.
However that's trivial to bypass if the computers are not locked down. If they aren't locked down then you can change the MAC anyway.I'm not sure if there's a filter based on cumulative access time.
