Check this package in full-HDD installed system.Uh, how about if we WANT to run it on a NANO-BSD system?
Where do we get it, and how do we install it?
Also, keep in mind that on a Soekris box, you can have a flash card for your pfsense system and a 2.5 HD installed for your squid cache and reporting…
Can the developers ADD this into the NANO system so we can make our OWN decisions on what to use or not?
Thanks.

I do not have at its disposal nanoBSD system, and therefore can not resolve this issue.
In addition this is will want use other people. And it will require support. -
I couldn't find it as well on my Alix. This explains why.
But indeed. Making the package available with some sort of "keep an eye on your diskspace" warning should be ok, right? I'm looking forward to it. :)

It isn't just the disk usage, it's being able to write to the disk at all. The filesystem on NanoBSD is kept read only. There are ways around that, but the more writes you allow to the CF, the sooner it will fail. And it will fail, it's just a matter of time.

That's why I do not see any reason to apply this package on NanoBSD. SF card is limited to the write cycles count.

I agree 100%. Lightsquid doesn't belong on a CF/Flash system.
Though if there was an easy way to direct the squid logs to a syslog server, where someone could run a separate instance of lightsquid, that would be ideal.
