      Hi,

      I'm using pfSense 2.0RC2 with 3NICs.
1 for WAN (PPPoe - ADSL 10mbit/512kbit) , 1 for LAN and 1 for OPTlan.
I want to limit internet connection with 3mbit/128kbit speed to all hosts which are connected to OPTlan interface.
Which is simplest way to do this with traffic shaper?

      Thanks.

        Anyone?

I have tried with Limiter in Traffic Shaping, but without success.

          Search the forum…

          This will help:
          http://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/Traffic_Shaping_Guide

I would say the limiter would work but I think it would 3mbit/128kbit to each host(not sharing the bw).

Yes, limiter is configured by instructions from this guide.
I have created pipes for up and down and firewall rules are also created.
But it seems that rules are probably configured at wrong way (i'm new to pfSense traffic shaper).

Is there any other manual which would describe in details how to create firewall rules for Limiter ?

There is no manual since pfSense 2.0 is still in development. Once its officially release, they will probably start to work on the book for it but that's probably a ways out from now. Below are screenshots on how i'm setup. Keep in mind you dont need to match the all the settings that I have in the FW rule. My rule is so my WLAN_Guest VLAN can only access the internet. Also, every client does get a 5/1 pipe that isnt not shared

                  Will try with this settings.

                    Yes it works!
Problem was in rules Gateway, it was set to "default", but when I set it to "WAN" everything works fine.

                    Thanks again.
